Information We Collect
We collect a limited set of information depending on how you use the site:
- Account information: if you create a free BolNepali account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text and cannot see it ourselves.
- Newsletter signups: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and the page you signed up from, solely to send you the newsletter and understand which content prompted the signup.
- Purchase information: if you purchase a downloadable PDF or other digital product, payment is processed entirely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not collect, see, or store your full card number or other sensitive payment details — Stripe handles that directly under its own privacy and security practices. We receive only confirmation that a payment was completed, along with the email address you provide at checkout, so we can deliver your purchase and provide support if needed. PDF purchases can currently be made without creating a BolNepali account.
- Usage data: we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site — which pages are popular, how people navigate, and general technical information like browser type and approximate location (city/country level, not precise location). This data is anonymized in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
- Cookies: the site uses cookies for basic functionality (keeping you logged in, remembering form submissions) and for Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features — like staying logged in — will not work properly without them.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above only for clear, specific purposes: operating your account and saving your progress on the site, sending the newsletter to subscribers who opted in, processing and fulfilling PDF purchases, responding to messages sent through our contact form, and understanding overall site usage so we can improve the content and experience.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your email address or account information with anyone except the service providers necessary to operate the site — currently Stripe (for payments) and Google (for analytics) — each of which is bound by its own privacy policy and terms.
Digital Products and Refunds
PDFs and other digital downloads sold on this site are delivered electronically upon successful payment confirmation from Stripe. Because these are digital products delivered immediately, sales are generally final once the download has been delivered, except where required otherwise by law in your jurisdiction. If you experience a genuine technical issue with a purchase — a broken download link, a duplicate charge, or similar — contact us and we will resolve it.
Content sold on this site is provided for educational and informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, particularly around language content, but we do not guarantee that every detail (especially anything describing external institutions, exams, visas, or other official processes) remains current after the date of publication — always verify time-sensitive or official information directly with the relevant authority.
Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account remains active, and newsletter subscriber information until you unsubscribe. Purchase confirmation records are retained as needed for accounting, tax, and customer support purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us, except where we are required to retain certain records by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).
Your Rights

Children's Privacy
BolNepali is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
